Quarantine? Not again! or How Not to Die from Boredom?

Another wave of serious virus rolls through the world and threatens us with a chance of quarantine repeating. The world stops just for us to be safe and healthy, and we must comfortably play our parts of not going to work or social events while having a runny nose. It means working from home and limiting contact with other people to a very minimum. I know, staying closed between the four walls might as quickly drive us crazy as it might force us to die from boredom. How to survive quarantine? It’s simple – follow the tips and tricks we have prepared for you to promote self-care and keep you clear-headed!

Becoming a Book Worm

Let’s admit the fact that some books have been on your reading list for far too long, so quarantine is the perfect time to check off several of them at least. However, it’s also okay not to have such a list or your favourite book. If you are not sure about what genre of books you like, let’s start with some classics. For example, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘Great Gatsby’ will take you back to the roaring twenties where a man desires to reunite with his long-lost love. In the case of a story with a hint of historical spices, choose L. Tolstoy’s ‘War and Peace.’ As you will find this next book at the top of the lists of greatest books of all time, it is worth reading for everyone. J. K. Rowling’s ‘Harry Potter’ is meant not only for kids as everyone may interpret the magic world in his very own way. Books will surely help you to distract thoughts from quarantine!

Tasty Quarantine

Quarantine is also the best time to open different types of books – cooking books! Spending some time in the kitchen cooking can be truly rewarding as you only need some creativity to become the best chef. Ordering home delivery food every day will quickly max out your credit cards, and we’re not even talking about delivered food being cold already. It’s more fun to tie around your apron and roll your sleeves up rather than ordering meals. Believe us - you have every ingredient you might need to make the best meal of your life. In the case of an empty fridge or pantry, you can always count on grocery delivery services available in the biggest cities. However, if you are more of an eater than a chef, we advise you to turn on the TV and watch culinary shows – it’s just a bit sad that TV cannot convey nose-tingling pleasant cooking smells yet!

Unleash Creativity

Quarantine has stopped your complaints about not having enough free time to coming back to your favourite hobbies. It does not matter whether you like painting or playing the violin, whether you enjoy doing puzzles or sewing new pieces of clothing from second-hand materials. Creativity is the only thing you need once you have tons of free time on your hands to spend on what you love the most. Doing arts and crafts is a perfect way to distract yourself not only from depressing quarantine routines but also from stress at work and sleep deprivation, which haunts us when hitting those office deadlines. We encourage you to try out hobbies that you have never tried before – learn haiku, start making flower arrangements, photoshopping, or talking backward - your ideas are not crazy, they are brilliant! Well, just in case hobbies do not work, try using CBD oil to lower stress levels and concentrate better.

It’s Popcorn Time!

The time flies by when we are watching our favourite movies and TV shows. As quarantine awards you with plenty of time for binge-watching the newest comedy or drama series, allow us to share a list of Emmy Award winners that will make you think only about another episode and nothing else in this world! ‘Schitt’s Creek,’ a comedy about a filthy-rich family turning broke, will make you laugh uncontrollably while ‘Succession’ will offer you many surprising plot twists as the story surrounds the media empire owners the Roy family. Even though such TV series as ‘The Good Place,’ ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine,’ ‘Killing Eve,’ or incredibly famous and successful ‘Stranger things’ have not won in the most important Emmy categories this year, they are still worthy of your attention, tears, and guesses of what will happen next. Make sure you have plenty of snacks ready to get you through numbers of episodes, seasons, and shows!

Let’s Adult – Time to Clean

No one likes cleaning dust, hoovering the carpets, or doing dishes in everyday life, but in quarantine, even these chores help pass the time. In reality, it is not that hard to make cleaning more fun – try turning your favourite music up and dancing while you clean those nasty spider webs you’ve been ignoring for ages. Dedicate your quarantine for tidying up the closet as this activity is as practical as it is promoting self-love – you will see all of the clothes that you have and feel good about yourself for achieving it at the same time! Many scientific studies have confirmed that a clean and fresh environment helps us concentrate and encourages better moods. If every corner in your home is now clean, but you still have not reached the peace with yourself, considering trying CBD products as they are a great addition to everyone’s well-being and overall health.

Stay Fit

Quarantine made the majority of us fail our daily move, and step goals as being closed between the four walls mean low activity. Expensive gym memberships will not remotely make your body fit, so it’s only up to you to stay in great shape. Even the morning exercises such as yoga or Pilates will help you highlight the muscles and ensure good health. A healthy and balanced diet also contributes to achieving even better results, which would not be able with exercises only. One of the best being fit trends is green cocktails in which you mix fresh fruits and vegetables. As they are called real energy bombs, cocktails contain a lot of additional supplements and vitamins, including CBD products, which improve the immune system and free you from fatigue after heavy training sessions. Be careful – some types of sports and exercising can do more harm to your body than good, so make sure you find the best way of staying fit!

Conquer the quarantine with these tips and tricks to truly enjoy the long periods at home. Knowing your physical and mental needs is a huge help when planning different indoor activities. Besides all of these boredom hacks, let’s not forget to spend quality time with the ones quarantining together.

10 Tips to Help You Survive the Autumn!

As we are saying farewell to summer, autumn is knocking on our doors, ready to enter and enrich our lives with a stunning palette of colour-changing leaves. Even though this situation may seem like coming straight out of fairy tale, heavy rains, strong winds, shorter, darker and colder days reveals the real face of the autumn season. Various illnesses and hardships follow the gloomy weather and threaten to mess up our lives even more. Only the ones who prepare for such challenges may resist them, but how to achieve that? Read carefully – we have prepared a lecture for you about immune system strengthening techniques, self-care, and, of course, pumpkins!

Tip No. 1 – Appropriate clothing

Autumn really gets onto our nerves as weather conditions often change every minute and an uncountable number of times throughout the day. The combination of umbrella and raincoat must become your new best friend this season. Water-resistant footwear will allow you to spend the autumn jumping in puddles like no big deal, the thicker jacket will protect from chilly winds, and soft scarf will keep you warm and cosy. Don’t blame the weather – there is nothing wrong with him, there are only wrong clothing choices!

Tip No. 2 – Skincare

The hot summer season has dried out our skin, which makes it even more vulnerable to cold autumn winds. Steer clear of this unpleasant feeling by using lip balms to avoid cracked and sore lips, regularly use moisturizing face masks to ensure skin hydration, and reward your hands with rich cream to protect them from skin irritation. Consider yourself lucky as we will soon offer you a new product from the skincare line to help you survive the autumn. More information to follow – don’t forget to take care of your skin while you wait!

Tip No. 3 – Relaxation

As autumn distresses often leads to depression, self-love is the best way to avoid it. Meditation is proved helpful as it reduces the levels of stress and anxiety. Of course, a little herbal nudge to your organism will not only help to have calmer thoughts but strengthen the immune system as well. However, our bodies can be as tired as our thoughts, but there is nothing a little home spa can’t fix! Incense, chill music, flower petals, hot foam bath, and massages from your loved one will comfort you during the darkest hours of autumn and inspire for new challenges.

Tip No. 4 – Home decoration

To prepare for autumn means to prepare not only our souls and bodies but also the environment around the home. Home décor does not mean hanging paper bat cut-outs or putting a carved pumpkin in every corner of your house even though Halloween is just around the corner. Sometimes little cinnamon, apples or vanilla-scented candle, thick blanket, lighted fireplace, or a bouquet of seasonal flowers is all that you need to surround yourself with pleasant autumn emotions.

Tip No. 5 – Hobbies

Today is the day to start thinking of how you will spend dark and cold autumn evenings. Self-care begins with quality time-spending techniques and smart ways to direct one’s attention further from seasonal distresses. Consider reading a book, watching a movie or TV series, handcrafting, doing crosswords, or any other kind of puzzles. Autumn is a perfect time to start getting ready for the summer bikini season – pay a visit to the gym once in a while!

Tip No. 6 – Food

The autumn is the season of harvesting everything that has grown in our gardens or forests throughout the summer. Many different foods add up to benefiting our organisms, so it would be a complete waste of products not to eat them or store them for winter. For example, pumpkins are considered full of nutrients that strengthen the immune system while including mushrooms in your daily diet increase bodies’ ability to fights various illnesses.

Tip No. 7 – Active lifestyle

It is easy to grow lazy when the rain is pouring down outside your room window. Regular activities such as jogging, hiking, cycling, or gymnastics contribute to one’s well-being and increase the chances to survive the autumn. We strongly recommend you going outside, enjoying the last bits of sun, exercising out in the fresh air, and appreciating the beauty of changing nature. As autumn comes only once a year, there is no better opportunity than celebrate it actively!

Tip No. 8 – Vitamins

Even though healthy eating habits and an active lifestyle are considered secrets to overall well-being, strong immune system, and autumn survival, sometimes that is not enough. Our bodies are not capable of producing certain kinds of vitamins; hence, their benefits are available only thanks to supplements. Beta-glucans are one of the smartest ways to strengthen the immune system and avoid moments when plans get messed by health problems caused by harsh weather. As beta-glucans have even more beneficial properties,  specialists advise using them throughout the whole year!

Tip No. 9 – Quality sleep

The autumn means coming back to school, work or university, thus saying sad goodbyes to happy summer holiday moments. Such time often results in higher stress and anxiety levels, which, in turn, negatively affects the whole body starting with memory and finishing with body motility capabilities. Besides that, self-care starts with a good night sleep, so quality rest must be everyone’s top priority this season.

Tip No. 10 – Daily routine

As autumn sometimes may cause a disbalance in lives and organisms, creating a daily routine helps people feel like true masters of their lives. Mobile calendars or cute little notebooks and planners ensure that one’s daily tasks get completed in time, and there is no chance left for autumn distresses to interfere with reaching every goal possible. You cannot imagine how much free time you have in a day to spend it for self-love and getting rid of autumn troubles!

We all are stronger together – the same applies to autumn survival as the chance of your triumph against this gloomy yet cosy season significantly increases once you involve as many tips as you can in your daily life. Conquering the autumn has never been so easy!
